Gender Equality and Graphic solution in spreading Gender Equality – “Feminism Day”

According to the United Nations, gender equality means that women and men enjoy equal rights to fully perform human rights and have the opportunity to contribute and enjoy social development achievements generally.

At first, most people confuse Feminism and Women’s Rights, but Feminism has a completely different definition from the Rights of Women.

Feminism is literally defined as a set of movements and ideologies with the aim of defining, building and protecting equal rights for women, including politics, economy, culture and society. This will specifically seek to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment.

Meaning of the name ‘yes, women can’

This is an exclamation that has a lot of meaning behind it. Yes, women can study, women can work, women can get promoted, women can make money, women can become pillars of the family, etc.

The key visual is the goddess Venus, which turn it into the logo of the organization. Venus in ancient Greek is Aphrodite, but after Greece was occupied by the Roman Empire, it was changed to Venus. Venus is the god of beauty and love, referring to women, people will remind Venus.

Legend has it that Aphrodite is the protector of women, regardless of whether they are rich or poor. Even the whore were under the protection of Aphrodite.

Colors

There is still a gender stereotype about the color that pink is for girls, blue is for boys. In fact, you’re not wrong to say that because we’ve been hearing it all the time on TV, seeing billboards since we were kids. However, we are moving towards a gender-equal society, so in my research, there is no prejudice about color that is only for one gender.

The 4 colors I use can express the message I want to convey to women: strength, struggle, self-control and indispensable sympathy from men: freedom of expression.
